Our liver, kidneys, skin and digestive system are the major organs that detoxify our bodies from toxins.
To get rid of the build-up toxins, we are going to detoxify each and every one of these four organs with special detox foods and drinks.
Here is how it works.
The major organ of detox is the liver. Each minute it receives about three pints of blood for cleansing.
Most of the food we eat is taken in the blood to the liver for detox first, and then it is released for circulation to the rest of the body.
The liver removes dead or abnormal cells, yeasts, bacteria, viruses, parasites, incompletely digested or abnormal proteins, artificial chemicals and any other dangerous or foreign particles.
Then the liver converts all of this “bad stuff” to urea that gets discharged with urine.
The liver is the first organ to suffer when our body becomes overwhelmed with toxins. It can no longer detox efficiently and preform other important functions. The result is liver toxicity.
Symptoms of Liver Toxicity:
- Poor digestion, bloating, nausea, constipation or other bowel irregularity
- Sugar cravings, fatigue, dizziness, feeling light headed
- Headaches, poor concentration, forgetfulness, mood swings, depression
- Onset or worsening of allergic reactions, skin rashes and asthma
- High blood pressure and/or fluid retention
- Decreased tolerance of fatty foods and alcohol
- Excessive sweating and body odor
During our Delicious Detox Program, we are going to introduce lots of liver cleansing foods that help to detoxify and cleanse the liver.
And yes, they are going to taste delicious. We are also going to minimize the exposure to the toxins that clog up our natural detox system.
By minimizing toxins in our food, we give the liver a break to successfully clean out all the unwanted build-up waste.
The result is a better functioning liver, fewer toxins in the body, and better health.
The kidneys are another important detox organ. They filter the blood and remove a number of toxins from the body.
Kidneys work best when we drink plenty of water.
That’s why we are going to drink lots of fluids during our Delicious Detox Program: detox waters, detox juices and smoothies, detox teas and even detox non-dairy milk, and of course, lots and lots of water.

detox better and avoid toxic build-up in the future.

Our skin has an important role in detox. Some of the waste products are only eliminated
through the skin with sweat.
That’s why it is beneficial to increase the production of sweat especially during the detox program.
One way to increase the sweat production is exercise. However, it is recommended to keep exercise at a moderate level during the detox program.
Avoid heavy lifting, high intensity workouts, or too much exercising. Running, jogging, and yoga – are your best choice during detox.
After finishing the program, you can go back to your regular exercise routine, or if you feel inspired to lose more weight, then start a new intensive exercise program.
Another way to increase sweating is to go to the steam room or sauna. It is especially
recommended during the detox program.
Try hot yoga or bikram yoga. This will help to increase both sweat production and get some exercise.
It is recommended to minimize the amount of chemicals we put into our skin especially
during our Detox.
Try switching your personal care items to organic and/or those free of synthetic preservatives, fragrances, SLS, sulfates, phthalates, parabens, dyes, formaldehyde carriers, MEA, DEA, TEA, and other most common allergens.

It is not always easy to find a “healthier” product that suits you. When it comes to personal
care we want a product to work a certain way.
For example, I had a hard time finding a “healthier” shampoo for my hair type. So I kept using the shampoo I liked, but got other personal care items, such as toothpaste and deodorant with less toxins.
My advice would be try to minimize toxins wherever you can. It doesn’t have to be an “all or nothing” approach.
A few “healthier” items are better than nothing. Using a shower filter also helps to minimize the amount of toxins that go onto your skin.
After completing the Delicious Detox Program it’s not unusual to notice that your skin begins to clear up, look younger, and less wrinkled.
The Digestive System
When it comes to successful detox, a healthy digestive system is very important. It breaks down the food to release nutrients, regulates which nutrients the body absorbs, and discharges left-over wastes.
Effective elimination of waste from the bowels is essential, as it is one of the routes the liver uses to discharge unwanted toxins.
To restore a good digestive system, we are going to introduce healthy bacteria to your body with probiotics. These healthy “good” bacteria will help to restore the gut flora.
Then the digestive system will start eliminating waste and absorbing more nutrients from food. And this is essential for good health and proper detox.
When the body gets more nutrients, you also feel less hungry, which helps to promote weight loss.
