How to Double Your Dental Practice?

If you want to DOUBLE your dental practice, there are 2 options.

  1. Get More Patients
  2. Earn More From Existing Patients

Now if you haven't marketed your practice yet, option 1 can be really difficult especially if you have just setup your own clinic.

I'll talk about how to get more patients for your dental practice in another blog post. For this post let's talk about, how to earn more from existing patients.

One of the most serious mistakes dentist & other doctors do is they don't have a well planned follow up system.

If you followup this system, you are sure to double your dental practice.

In fact this works if you are in almost any stream you can imagine.

Step 1: Get their phone number

The MOST important step in any practice management is to get their phone number. If you can get their phone number, you now have their permission to contact them.

(It's just like a date, you have the phone number, you can ask anytime for a date, if the date works out, you can marry her.)

Step 2: Followup with them

Just do the maths.

If the same patient can come to you for followup 'x' number of times and you charge him Rs. 100 per visit, you can easily earn 100x more money just from simple followups. I have not even added the treatment cost

Step 3: Upsell them

Now you already have them in your clinic. The next step is to upsell them. 

This means, suppose your patient has caries. You offer him/her a restoration.

But before offering your patient a restoration, advice them to get a scaling done. Of course..only when they require it..This is just an example

I hope you get the point.

The goal here is to extract as much as possible from your patient.

Think about it for a second. The cost of acquisition is already over. You already have a patient.

If you can acquire patients at a profit, you already beat your competition.

You can use that money you earned by up-selling your patients, to acquire new customers.

Step 4: Refollowup with them

Recall them for checkups and grow your practice.

This is just one part of dental marketing using followups. There are many more strategies you can implement to double your dental practice.
